About
OUR APPROACH
Classic Flooring is a small, Peninsula-focused timber flooring outfit based in Frankston. We work on real hardwood: Blackbutt, Tasmanian Oak, Jarrah, Spotted Gum, older Cypress and Baltic Pine. We sand it, polish it, repair it, and where the deck sits between the sun and the salt, we oil that too.
Most competitors in this market run a Melbourne-wide operation with templated suburb pages. Nothing on those pages tells you that they know Rosebud shacks were built on Blackbutt over battens, or that a Mount Eliza period home is nearly always Tas Oak with a top-nailed border. We do — because it is what we work on every week.
Every quote comes with a straight answer. If the floor should be sanded, we say so. If it’s past sanding and needs to be pulled and replaced, we say that too. If a coating system is wrong for a coastal home, we’ll explain why before we quote it.
WHERE WE WORK
Our service area covers the Frankston Local Government Area and Mornington Peninsula Shire — Frankston through to Portsea, plus the ridge and coastal pockets on the Western Port side. We prefer local work: it means we know the housing stock, the era of the boards, and the coating history you’re likely to be dealing with underneath.
