Pecan Natural

Pecan Natural is the warmest board in this collection — a mid-to-deep nut brown with genuine reddish warmth and more visible grain movement than the oak-look decors alongside it.

Pecan is a North American hickory relative, and the decor reflects that heritage: a more active grain than European Oak, with darker streaking and clear tonal variation from board to board. The result is a floor with character and depth rather than a uniform surface.

Warmth is its purpose. In a room that runs cool — south-facing, grey-toned, lots of stone and glass — a warm floor is what stops the space feeling austere. It also carries dark joinery well and looks handsome under lamplight, where the red in the colour comes forward.

It pairs with cream and warm-white walls, brass and aged bronze, leather and natural stone. It is harder to place against cool grey palettes, where the warmth reads as a clash rather than a contrast.

This is a 1520 × 230mm board, the wider format in the range, which gives the active grain enough room to read properly. The grain variation is good at disguising everyday marks — scuffs and crumbs disappear into the pattern.
