Soft Whisper

Soft Whisper is the palest board in the Acoustic Timber Collection — an oak-look decor taken almost to white, with only the faintest warm cast and a very subtle grain pattern showing through.

This is a floor chosen to disappear. In a minimal interior where the architecture, the light or the view is meant to be the subject, a near-white floor removes the floor from the conversation entirely and lets the room read as a single bright volume. It is the most effective board here at making a small or dim space feel larger.

It is also the least forgiving. Every dark speck, every hair and every piece of tracked-in grit shows on a near-white surface, and there is no colour variation for anything to hide in. It suits a household prepared to keep on top of it, or a room that does not take heavy traffic — a bedroom, a study, a guest bathroom. It is a difficult choice for a busy family entry.

What it hides well is dust, which is the more constant nuisance in most homes.

It is a 1520 × 230mm board, the wider format in this range. The wide plank and the pale colour together produce a very clean, contemporary floor with minimal visual interruption.

No species cross-link applies — the decor is a generic pale oak look rather than a specific timber.
