Scenic Oak

Scenic Oak is the default board in this range and the one specified most often for rentals and investment properties. It is a neutral mid-brown oak-look decor — no strong warmth, no cool grey correction — reproducing the contemporary oak floor that has become the standard expectation in Australian interiors.

Neutrality is exactly what a rental floor needs. It will not clash with whatever wall colour, benchtop or joinery is already in the property, and it will not clash with whatever replaces them later. For a landlord or an agent, a floor that never becomes the reason a property shows badly is worth more than a floor with character.

Mid-tones are also the most practical to maintain. Dust does not show the way it does on a dark floor, and dark grit does not show the way it does on a pale one. Between tenancies that means less work to make the floor present well.

The embossed woodgrain and micro-bevel give the planks definition so the floor reads as boards rather than as a continuous sheet, and the matte lacquer avoids the plastic sheen that dates a cheap floor quickly.

No species cross-link applies to this colour. It is a generic oak-look print rather than a reproduction of a specific timber, and pointing it at a real species education page would overstate what it is.
